Octet: for Winds, Piano, & Percussion is a mixed chamber ensemble work that is based around attempting to achieve electroacoustic effects with only acoustic instruments. Throughout the entirety of the work, I toyed with the element of echo. In the final movement, there is an offsetting of a riff between horn and trombone that creates "delay." This piece is full of energy and implements several different rock/pop styles.
